Due to the heavy rains, The Sexy Chef was not able to deliver my meals yesterday as scheduled. They, however, sent an email with meal options in case they wouldn’t be able to deliver food this morning. 10am came and I had to eat breakfast. No delivery yet so I had to make my own meal! Dun dun dun… So this is how Day 3 went!
Breakfast:
According to their email, I could make my own warm lemon water by squeezing 1 tablespoon of lemon juice and mixing it with a cup of hot water. Good thing I was able to save an extra packet of stevia powder from The Sexy Chef the other day, so I was able to sweeten it a bit. After making the lemon water, I chose the easiest meal to make out of the options given–instant oatmeal! Yay!π I also found their suggested coconut sugar at Kang’s, our small but filled with hard to find goodies local grocery store π
I gotta say, I got some skills! Haha! π I wasn’t sure if I was going to like coconut sugar but it was pretty good, and it tasted healthy. You guys should try it! It’s also perfect for diabetics π About half an hour later, our doorbell rang and the food for today just came!
This would’ve been my breakfast for today but it just got bumped up to tomorrow π I would have to keep bumping breakfast for the next day until the end of the program. Thank you crazy monsoon, because that means a Sexy Chef breakfast for the morning after this detox diet! π
Snacks:
When I found out about my meals not being delivered on time, the first thing I got worried about was the Juju Cleanse juice! It was something I could not make on my own! I’d have to order from Juju cleanse myself, which wouldn’t have made it to today anyway. But I’m so glad it came just in time! π
So far, I noticed that all the Juju Cleanse juices I had tasted veggie-ish! What’s surprising is they’re actually good. I normally wouldn’t like veggie type juices, but good job Juju Cleanse! The hummus was delicious as well, and I ended up eating the leftover by itself. Hehe π
Lunch:
Okay, 1) that soup was really good! I’m not a fan of ginger but it wasn’t strong and it went perfectly with the sweet potato π Who knew sweet potato could taste so good? I didn’t π 2) The salad. Oriental dressing was always a fave so this definitely made me happy. The pomelo with greens was a hit π
Dinner:
To be honest, I wasn’t sure how I felt about seeing the word “yeast” on the menu. Yeast? Yeast on my pasta?! Haha! But, it did its job! It really tasted like cheese! π I truly enjoyed my dinner π By the way, if you’re wondering why it’s not on a plate this time, it’s because I brought my dinner to the Victory Makati center. We were there helping out with their relief work, which was really a fun way of spending the day for a cause π
Thanks for taking time to read, guys! For now, I leave you with this:
So glad the rain didn’t mess up the delivery this time!! Thank you for great service, Sexy Chef! π
**If you would like to help out, Victory Makati will be accepting food and clothing donations from 10am-6pm at LPL Center, Leviste st. Salcedo Village, Makati. Let’s keep praying for the victims of this monsoon! Stay safe everyone!
