Curl, prime, and cake it up!

Curl, prime, and cake it up!

I’ve always had a thing with long lashes. I’m not so much into falsies, only because I like curling, priming, and caking up my own lashes. Hehe πŸ˜‰ My lashes are okay in length, but I won’t necessarily say they’re long. I also am not blessed with naturally curled lashes. Fortunately, after trying on different things, I’ve found products, and a routine that work well for me! There are quite a few times where I’ve been asked if I was wearing fake lashes. Admittedly, I’ve taken that question as a compliment. Haha! I think it’ll be nice to share with you gals my “lash secret” ;p

Step 1: Curl

Shu Uemura Eyelash Curler

I LOVE Shu Umeura’s eyelash curler because it fits my eyes perfectly. I’ve tried others before buying this one and suffered eyelid pinches, of my own unintentional doing. haha! Β The lady at Sephora told me this best fits Asian eyes. At that time I thought, “Hey I’m Filipino. I’m Asian. This should work. hahaha!” Yep, it works! I hold the curler maybe about 12-15 seconds before realeasing it ;p

They no longer sell this at Sephora, but it’s available online. This is also sold at any Rustan’s department store, and it comes with a free silicone pad refill.

Step 2: Prime

Diorshow Maximizer Lash Plumping Serum

I never used to prime my lashes until this came into my life. They make your lashes magically longer, for a lack of a better term. Be generous to your lashes when applying! πŸ™‚ Wait for a bit for your lashes to dry up, and you’re ready for step 3!

It’s available at Sephora. Β I am not sure if this is already available at Rustan’s, though. However, you can certainly get it online if Sephora is not available in your area.

Step 3: Cake it up!

Diorshow Black Out Mascara
*Don’t mistake for the regular Diorshow mascara.

I’ve tried on many, and I say many, mascaras before, and this is my absolute favorite! It makes lashes thick, and long. The best part about it is that its rich black pigment really makes lashes strikingly beautiful. It almost gives off that fake lashes look, except they’re real. I say “cake it up,” because like the primer, don’t hold back when appylying! πŸ˜€ I have tried quite a few newer products, but nothing has replaced this in my heart. Hehe πŸ˜‰ Yes, I love this dearly, and so do my lashes πŸ™‚ I own both the regular one, and the waterproof one. Have I mentioned this is my favorite? πŸ™‚

This is available at Sephora, and Rustan’s!

And, ladies, this is how curling, priming, and caking them lashes up look afterwards:

Taken on Aida’s opening weekend. Hence, the heavy make-up. BUT, see why falsies aren’t needed? πŸ™‚
