Too often people say, “No regrets. I am who I am because of everything I’ve done.” I wish I could say the same thing. The truth of the matter is, I do have regrets, and the there are quite a lot of them! Saying I have no regrets is prideful. I have regrets about the guys I’ve liked and dated, my finances, my career, how I should’ve studied better when I was a student, and the list just goes on! But what changes all these, is the story of God’s redemptive love. The Gospel is what changes EVERYTHING!
“It should have been me…”
“Why does he get the promotion? I’ve been here longer and I work so hard. It should have been me.”
“How come she’s the one who gets married? She’s younger than I am! It should have been me.”
“Why does this lazy guy have it easy while I work hard for my money? I’m the good person. It should have been me.”
